Dr. Rauf Razzaq is currently a Research Scientist at Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (LIKAT) University of Rostock, Germany. Prior to joining LIKAT, he worked as assistant professor (TTS) at the department of Chemical Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. He obtained his M.S (Environmental and Energy Engineering) from University of Sheffield, U.K and Ph.D. (Chemical Engineering) from Institute of Process Engineering, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. Dr. Razzaq’s research is focused on CO 2 activation- valorization for synthesizing value added fuels and fine chemicals. Most of his work is directed towards understanding the basis of catalyst design, synthesis and application. He has worked extensively in developing highly efficient and stable catalytic materials for different industrial processes including; CO x utilization, water gas shift reaction, carbonylation, and coal-biomass pyrolysis. Dr. Razzaq is the recipient of Higher Education Award from Govt. of Pakistan for PhD and Leibniz- DAAD fellowship for postdoctoral studies in Germany. He is also member of Energy Institute UK and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). |
