Dr. Sravanthi Joginipelli Joginipelli is a bioinformatician and computational biologist, and an assistant professor of computer science at Jackson State University (JSU). She worked as assistant professor in computer science department at University of Arkansas Pine Bluff (UAPB), Arkansas. Her postdoctoral research focused on protein interactome analysis of mutations associated with tuberculosis led by Jerry Darsey, professor of Department of Chemistry at University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Dr. Joginipelli received her Ph.D. degree and master’s degree in Bioinformatics from University of Arkansas Little Rock (UALR) in conjunction with University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She received her bachelors degree in homeopathic medicine and surgery from JSPS Health University, Hyderabad, India. Prof. Joginipelli is currently teaching computer science courses with concentration in Bioinformatics at Jackson State University (JSU). Her research interests include Bioinformatics and computational Biology, protein structure prediction, data mining, molecular modeling and simulations. She is also working on applications of quantum mechanical studies combined with molecular modeling studies to understand biological molecules. Dr. Joginipelli is actively involved in grant writing and scholarly publications, and is conference presenter with national and international presentation. She is extremely active in community service and serves on various committees at JSU. |
