Dr. Noureen Siraj
Assistant professor in electrochemistry and materials research

Dr. Noureen Siraj is a physical and analytical chemist and serves as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Before joining UA Little Rock, she worked as a Research Associate in the Warner Research Group at Louisiana State University.
Her research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of ionic liquids, frozen organic salts, and related nanomaterials for applications in energy, sensing, and cancer therapy. She has developed new materials for dye-sensitized solar cells, organic light-emitting diodes, and photodynamic therapy.
Dr. Siraj earned her Ph.D. in electrochemistry from Graz University of Technology in Austria, where she graduated with distinction. She also received a master’s degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Karachi, where she graduated with top academic honors. Before beginning her doctoral studies, she served as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Karachi.
