Dr. Frank Hahn
Chemistry professor and collaborative research leader

Dr. Frank Hahn is an analytical chemist and tenured Professor of Chemistry at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Akron in 2003.
He has more than a decade of teaching and research experience in higher education. His academic work has included roles at institutions such as the Wistar Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Texas Medical Branch, and the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He has also taught science courses as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Central Arkansas, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and the College of the Ouachitas.
Dr. Hahn has participated in collaborative research with several institutions, including the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, the University of Arkansas, and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He has mentored more than 30 undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers
His work has been recognized through awards from his institution and professional organizations, including the Arkansas Academy of Sciences, the American Society of Mass Spectrometry, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. He has also received support from national funding agencies, including the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health, serving in roles such as principal investigator, co-principal investigator, collaborator, and consultant. Dr. Hahn has authored or co-authored 37 research articles and proceedings.
