Dr. Anindya Ghosh
Professor of Chemistry and Associate Dean in the Donaghey College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

Dr. Anindya Ghosh is a Professor of Chemistry and Associate Dean in the Donaghey College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He previously served as Chair of the Department of Chemistry from 2019 to 2022 and as Interim Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs. Before joining UA Little Rock, he worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Halliburton Energy Services and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Kansas.
He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University, his M.S. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, and his B.S. from the University of Calcutta. His teaching interests include inorganic chemistry, advanced inorganic chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, green chemistry, and industrial catalysis.
Dr. Ghosh’s research focuses on the development and application of novel homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, polymers and materials for sustainable and clean energy, smart materials, and nanomaterials for biological applications. His work has earned significant recognition in green and sustainable chemistry, including the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award, the Kenneth G. Hancock Memorial Award from the American Chemical Society, and the Teresa Heinz Scholars for Environmental Research award. He has also received multiple research and teaching honors from UA Little Rock and the Central Arkansas Section of the American Chemical Society.
