Billy Griffin
Computational chemistry graduate and industry professional

Billy Griffin earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Brigham Young University in 2002 and later completed both a master’s degree in Applied Science and a Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. During his graduate studies, he was mentored by Dr. Jerry Darsey in computer modeling, physical chemistry, and machine learning.
After graduating, he worked for five years at Siplast, a GAF company, in new product development. In that role, he contributed to the development of eight new product lines in liquid roofing and waterproofing. He currently works at L’Oréal as an Inventory Analyst, where he focuses on strategies for efficient inventory control.
