Andrea Fisher is a Global Programs Manager on the Transitions team with the United Services Organization (USO), where she supports service members and their families throughout the military lifecycle. Prior to joining the USO, she served as the Survivor Outreach Services Coordinator for military families of the fallen in Arkansas beginning in 2013. She also previously served as Executive Director of the ALS Association of Arkansas.

Earlier in her career, Andrea deployed to Balad, Iraq, as a USO Duty Manager and Department of Defense civilian, overseeing daily operations for two USO centers on Balad Air Force Base. In that role, she managed volunteers, coordinated events, and helped provide a welcoming and supportive environment for the approximately 25,000 service members stationed there. Before transitioning into nonprofit and military support work, she held supervisory roles with major organizations including T-Mobile, Walmart Home Office, and Tyson Foods.

Andrea has deep personal and professional ties to the military community. She founded Hearts of Our Heroes, the Fallen Heroes Living Memorial, and Arkansas Bikers Backing Our BLUE. She also serves in leadership and volunteer roles with several organizations, including the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery Foundation, Friends of Fisher House Arkansas, and Rally Point Nonprofit Council. Her longstanding service has been recognized through multiple honors, including the Military Exceptional Service Medal, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Order of St. Maurice Civis Medal, the ESGR Seven Seals Award, and Marine Corps League Associate Member of the Year.

A California native, Andrea holds a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Capella University, a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Oklahoma State University, and a paralegal certification from Bryant & Stratton College. She has also pursued graduate study in Project Management and received a military spouse fellowship to obtain her Personal Financial Counseling certification.

Hearts of Our Heros

Hearts of Our Heroes is an Arkansas 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring fallen service members by supporting the families they leave behind. The organization serves families inclusively, regardless of military branch, duty status, or manner of death, with a mission centered on remembrance, compassion, and continued support.

Founded by Andrea Fisher, Hearts of Our Heroes grew out of years of direct work alongside Arkansas Families of the Fallen, also known as Gold Star Families. Through that experience, Andrea recognized the ongoing needs of surviving families and established the organization to provide meaningful support, community connection, and practical resources. Its mission is simple: to keep the promise to our nation’s heroes by never forgetting the families left behind.
